Speakers Foster Gesten and Kathy Shure each had key roles in the development of the NY sepsis statewide initiative. Foster will provide background about how New York stated and implemented their sepsis initiative from the NY State Department of Health perspective. Kathy will discuss how she navigated the state agencies to issue the guidance that dealt with insurer payment issues from her position at the Greater NY Hospital Association.
