KHA Welcomes Two New Staff Members to the Quality Team

Recently, KHA welcomed two new quality process improvement specialists to the team – Billie Delauder and Adam Isaacs.

Delauder joins KHA with over 36 years of nursing experience, with a background including emergency medicine, medical-surgical, and quality performance. She also taught several Associate Degree nursing courses and has been a clinical instructor since 2019. She obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Chamberlain College of Nursing and is now seeking to obtain her CPHQ certification. Upon asking Delauder about her new position at KHA, she stated, “Having worked within the health care field for so many years and over 17 of those in the quality department, this job at KHA sounded like a dream come true. Now, instead of helping only one hospital to reach its quality goals and achievements, I now have the opportunity to assist so many others in the state of Kentucky.”

Isaacs joins KHA with nine years of nursing experience, during which he cared for patients on the spectrum from pediatrics to adult, most of which were spent with the emergency department pediatric population and in the adult stepdown unit. For the last two years, he has worked in the quality department as a clinical quality nurse. Isaacs holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Louisville. When asked about this new position at KHA, he stated, “I went into nursing to make an impact on patient care, and through KHA I see the potential for the magnitude of that impact to increase substantially.”
