Miss Kentucky, Sepsis Survivor Darrell Raikes, and Kentucky Hospital Association Bringing Awareness to Dangers of Sepsis
Hannah Edelen, Miss Kentucky 2022, joined the Kentucky hospital Association (KHA) last week in the organization’s efforts to bring awareness to the dangers of sepsis. As Governor Andy Beshear issued a proclamation declaring September 2022 as Sepsis Awareness Month in Kentucky, this is the perfect time to focus on this devastating illness.

KHA honored Representative Ken Fleming as a Legislative Champion for prioritizing patients during the 2022 Kentucky General Assembly session.
For his outstanding work and for exhibiting exemplary service to the hospitals of Kentucky and the patients they serve during the 2022 Kentucky General Assembly session, KHA presented its Legislative Hero award to Representative Killian Timoney during the KHA Annual Convention.

The Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) presented its annual Quality Awards to eight hospitals from across the state at the 93rd Annual KHA Convention in Louisville on May 18. This award honors hospital leadership and innovation in quality, safety and commitment to patient care.
KHA presented its Award of Excellence to David Anderson, chief executive officer of Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield and Jerome Penner, FACHE, chief executive officer of Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, on May 18 at the 93rd Annual KHA Convention.
The Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) presented several awards on May 18 at the 93rd Annual KHA Convention. This year’s event was held at the newly renovated Galt House Hotel in downtown Louisville. KHA’s highest honor, the Distinguished Service Award, was presented to Brian Brezosky. KHA’s Distinguished Service Award is presented to an individual who has given untiring and exceptional service to their hospital, community, the state and KHA. Brezosky was honored for his exemplary service during his career.
